`Look for a sweet person. Forget rich.’ Estee Lauder
March 26, 2015 By Grady Harp
Brad G. Wheeler has curated an art and words spectrum devoted to LOVE – wit and wisdom of romance, courtship and marriage, and once again he has gathered art from around the world and researched sayings that have to do with matching the art and the topics – Love. There is about as much variety of artwork reproduced on every page of this enormously entertaining book as is mirrored in the variety of excerpts of words from the ancients to the moderns. Wheeler wisely keeps the reader’s interest by dividing his book into chapters: Love Through the Ages, Dating, Women, Men, Sex, Marriage, Children, Furry Friends, and Happiness, Love & life. Each topic is generously illustrated with art and comments pertinent to each subsection.
Great artwork amid humorous quotes from famous people
March 24, 2015 By Charles Ashbacher
Wheler has an excellent strategy for providing artists with publicity for their works. He actively solicits contributions from artists on his BookCollaborative web site and then selects those that most correspond to the theme of his latest book. The general style of this one is a color image of an artwork that takes up roughly two-thirds of the page with the artists name in red script underneath. The balance of the page is then a small set of short subject statements by famous people. As the title implies, the theme of this book is love, romance, sex and the consequences of humans doing all three.
Wow!

I have three locations in my home where I read. These locations include my reading chair in the living room, the back porch during warm weather and of course my bed. Each of these places has massive stacks of books within arms reach. My wife says I am a book hoarder and that may be so, but honestly, I do have reasons for this arrangement. (It should be noted that my wife is as bad as I am…I am just more honest about it…less neat, more honest). As an example…my bedside:
I read every night before I go to sleep and have for well around six decades now. It is a habit. I have a variety of books available; the current novels I am reading, my beloved history books, a beat up old copy of James Joyce’s Finnegan’s Wake (I have trouble sleeping at times and it takes me precisely one half page of Joyce’s work to put me sound asleep…I should have the book read in another hundred years or so.) I have a copies of poetry books and inspirational books and a very old copy (it was my mothers) of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. I have now added yet another book to this “special” stack(s)…the wonderful work being reviewed here.

Who knew?
August 3, 2014 By Grady Harp
The Bradford G Wheeler so many of us have come to appreciate and turn to for moments of entertainment and thought stimuli is the gentle and kind author of GOLF SAYINGS: wit & wisdom of a good walk spoiled, “CAT SAYINGS: wit & wisdom from the whiskered ones, HORSE SAYINGS: wit & wisdom straight from the horse’s mouth, DOG SAYINGS: wit & wisdom from man’s best friend, and SNAPPY SAYINGS: wit & wisdom from the world’s greatest minds. So what is he doing traipsing around mysteries and thrillers with the nidus being archeology and spiritualism? The answer is ` Very well indeed!’ and just take an evening or two to peruse this new novel peppered with photographs of note and characters of interest and you likely will agree.
A very interesting and engaging drama with lots of information
July 31, 2014 By Israel Drazin
This is a very entertaining novel that is filled with drama, mystery, suspense, much information about various subjects, and a wealth of humor. The book shows that its author did a great deal of research about Peru which he offers his readers in an interesting fashion. He includes close to two dozen illustrations and photos that enhance the tale.
Fascinating In Every Respect!

This book is an archaeological treasure. The story is about resolution of a 500 year old archaeology mystery in the Northern part of Peru. The story takes readers through a 500 year old Goldmoche Headdress, a millenia old Gold Cup , a mummy in Chauchilla, an Inca Style Suspension Bridge, a map of the Incan Empire, The Lost City of Machu Picchu, the golden god Uku Pacha, various earthquake zones and a vast underground city with human corpses everywhere.
Fantastic Book

Fasten your seatbelts, as this is not your normal Archaeological Hunt in Peru. There has always been a fascination with the Inca Period with so much unknown. Using technological features of the 21st century makes your reading absolutely “mind boggling”. Just this alone has you wanting to read the book a second time, with so much to absorb. For a little spice throw in the excitement of Malware Sabotage, a Dinosaur-minded Catholic Cardinal afraid of modern technology & shoot-outs with Drug Lords protecting territories needing to be excavated. The twists & turns of the entire plot will keep you “captivated”. Extra special are the pictures & maps interspersed, where they are needed, to give you a more visual ideas of things. This is sure a Fantastic Book.

Quite an interesting and informative story. The characters are very real, and the excitement builds in every respect. For the first time I questioned my choice of college major after learning the excitement and inspiration of a modern search for an ancient city and its people. The story was off-beat, but so very entertaining and educational. This book is well worth more than one read.

Lots and lots of wisdom on these pages and a lot of chuckles
March 3, 2014 By D. Blankenship
I have quite a few books whose subject matter deals exclusively with “golf sayings.” I have been collecting these books since I first started playing some 55 odd years ago. Of all the wonderful reading I have on my shelf; all the wisdom, humor and frustration documented in their pages concerning what is probably the greatest game every invented, this little work is most certainly in the exclusive top five I own.
Golf art and witty sayings from around the world
October 3, 2013 By Grady Harp
Bradford G. Wheler is a man of insight and concern for the human state – the durability of the arts, the importance of communication, and the value of humor. He began this series of art and quotes with books on horses, dogs, and great minds – each of which has become popular with both readers of serious fiction and lovers of art. He is the founder of BookCollaborative.com and in that capacity he continues to marry history, art, books and the humor in man’s nature.
A really clever book
October 3, 2013 By Israel Drazin

It contains more than 200 clever remarks by many famous people about the game of golf. Some quotes so profound they could be used in a philosophy class
October 2, 2013 By Charles Ashbacher
This review is from: Golf Sayings Wit & Wisdom of a Good Walk Spoiled (Paperback)
You do not have to be knowledgeable about golf to be amused by and even understand these quotes. They are first and foremost about life and how you deal with adversity and challenges. There is an old adage, “It is not whether you win or lose but how you play the game.” As these quotes from people associated with the game of golf indicate, how you play the game will generally determine whether you win or lose.
In one word – FUN
October 21, 2013 By Alain B. Burrese
Even though I’m not a golfer, I really enjoyed “Golf Sayings: Wit & Wisdom of a Good Walk Spoiled” by Bradford G. Wheler. I like that he’s helping get various art out to a wider audience, and I really liked a lot of the quotes, especially the first quote that is also part of the title, “Golf is a good walk spoiled.” by Mark Twain.
Great Book!
October 11, 2013 By Shirley Priscilla Johnson
I had the total joy of reviewing Mr. Wheler’s wonderful book, Cat Sayings, so when asked to do this one I jumped right on it. Was I disappointed? Not at all. Although I am not a golfer, I still giggled at many sayings in this book, and enjoyed the wonderful photography, illustrations, drawings, and other insertions that helped to bring this gem to life. So much talent out there, what a great way to show it. .Also we had some comments by very famous people that lite many a candle throughout the book. As I said, I know nothing about Golf, but I did find this book entertaining and I know Golfers will love every page of it. Enjoy!

AND WHAT AN ABSOLUTE CLASS ACT THIS WORK IS!
August 16, 2012, By D. Blankenship
I just received and read this thoroughly delightful little book on the heels of my yearly reading of T.S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.” And what a great reading combination I now have. These two books will be shelved together and in the future, read together.
Feline Art and Words: For cat lovers and those who attempt to understand them
By Grady Harp
Brad G. Wheeler has curated an art and words spectrum devoted to Cats (not the capital C and you’ll get the gist of this book!). There is about as much variety of artwork reproduced on every page of this enormously entertaining book as is mirrored in the variety of excerpts of words from the ancients to the moderns. Wheeler wisely keeps the reader’s interest by dividing his book into chapters: Cats Rule, Wild Cats, Kittens, Humor, Of Cats and Dogs, The Cat Personality, Death of a Friend, Love Of, Cats Vs. People – each topic is generously illustrated with art and comments pertinent to each subsection.
Magnificent collection of feline art — a cat lover’s delight!!
By Rabbi Yonassan Gershom
Bradford G. Wheler has brought together in this book two of my favorite things: cats and art. There are full-color works by 60 different artists from 9 different countries. Some are fulltime professional artists, others are hobbyists, but all share a love of animals and, in a myriad different styles and media, have captured the beauty, mystery, love and whimsey of the cat. Add to this the wonderful collection of quotes about cats, and you have a book to savor for years to come.
Lovely book — essential for every cat lover
By Amy Walls “Gwen Walls”
First off, I must disclose that I love anything to do with cats. That being said, I’m often skeptical about overly cutesy books featuring them.
However, this book was marvelous, with a varied display of artworks featuring cats, lions, tigers, and other members of the panthera family. The quotes ranged from joy and blithe to mourning and sorrow.
The joy and intrigue of interacting with cats is captured
By Charles Ashbacher
No person that has ever “owned” a cat can read the quotes without nodding their head in agreement. The images are a mixture of photos and brushwork and are of high quality, most could be offered for sale as decorative pieces for residences and businesses. The book is a quick and amusing read where you remain tempted to go back and look at it again

Erika from Suddenly Books recently posted a review of Cat Sayings: wit and wisdom from the whiskered ones:

Well, upon receiving CAT SAYINGS in the mail and opening it up, I immediately fell in love with it. I could not stop turning the pages to see the next piece of artwork and read the sometimes quirky, sometimes brilliant, and insightful quotes about cats.”
